4 + 2 Weeks Pregnant- Safe To Dye Hair???

Hi ladies!
I've just found out that I'm 4 + 2 Weeks Pregnant and for future reference I was just wondering whether it would be safe to dye my hair or not with an Ammonia Free colour. I've read a few mixed things about it and of course my baby being safe & keeping safe is my main priority so thought I'd ask the experts ☺️

I didn’t bleach or dye my hair whilst pregnant but I was very cautious. I know others who have and have been fine.

Yeah I'm really cautious too that's why I'm really unsure whether I should or not so probably won't but just wanted some trusted advice. Yeah I've read mixed things too that some have been fine and some haven't etc. Thanks x

I dyed my hair through both my pregnancies. It didn’t occur to me not to!

It’s fine. The amount of toxins you’d need to work it’s way into your system to harm the baby would put you in hospital long before then

Oh thankyou for that! I did actually read that but because I'd read a few other things saying it's safest to wait until really the second trimester it just made me really cautious that's all x

No worries. Congratulations on your pregnancy, with safety and precautions you’ll find that everything g us a bit woolly.

As no one can or would test things on pregnant women it’s often a bit on the fence as to whether something is safe.
But with hair dye, you’d have to get it into your blood stream for it to get to the baby and that is highly unlikely plus in super large doses. So while both of those COULD happen, realistically would it???

I coloured my hair throughout all 4 of my pregnancies. I checked with my obstetrician and multiple hairdressers and they all agreed that it was fine..

I gave up bleaching my hair while pregnant but still dyed it. I needed to to hide the massive colour difference!

Thankyou everybody for your advice I did think so myself but just read a few stories that's all like with everything- Especially in the First Trimester I know things are very delicate etc so was just being really cautious! Xx
