if you're having takeaway tonight.. what are you having?

first post on mn but looong time lurker! thought i'd make my first post about the thing dearest to my heart, takeaway Wink i'm having chips and a saveloy sausage with an awful lot of ketchup (heinz! it must be heinz!!) and a can of coke. so, as the title says, if you're having takeaway tonight, what are you having?

Japanese take out & warm sushi, cant wait. Its only just coming up to 10am where I am so I've got to wait all day for it.

Honest Burgers
Mine is a vegan plant burger with fake bacon and shoestring fries on top, plus rosemary fries and bacon gravy. I’m not even vegan, but tried this the other week and it was amazing!!
Bastarding diet was supposed to start today.
In a vague attempt to make it healthier, I got it without the bun 😊

I can't tell you how much I miss a proper British chippy tea! I moved away from the UK 4 years ago and at least once a week a real craving hits 😂

I'm having chicken dopiaza with Aloo Channa and pilau rice and a fresh coriander naan. It'll do tomorrow too. Dh is on korma, bindi bhadji, aloo gobi and chappatis.

Ds is being a pain and wanting Chinese, so he'll have to wait till he gets home and organise it himself. Girls out tonight!

@nancybotwinbloom definitely chinese.. sitting on your sofa in front of the tv with a nice meal delivered straight to you or sitting in the rain, trying to start up a bbq and then having to keep an eye on things to keep them from burning.. i know which one i'd prefer! Wink

On a bit of an exclusion diet atm (no gluten, no dairy, limited sugar no alcohol etc etc) but Friday is bad tea night in this house so the closest I can get is:

Dd1 is having chicken curry and rice (curry home made but batch cooked so just reheated plus micro rice).

Dd2 and dh are having supermarket pizza

All 3 having doughballs.

I am having tikka king prawns, saag and Thai sticky rice. Mostly home made (rice is micro again).

I have a Gu free from cheesecake and a tonic with all the trimmings so I can pretend it's gin.

We’re going to the pub and then picking up a take away on the way home. Unless I can’t wait and we eat there Blush
I’ve been dreaming about my order all day - fish, chips, mushy peas, gravy and curry sauce Grin but now I’ve read about everyone’s Indian orders I’m feeling like it might be a curry night!

notacooldad dumplings..? the japanese thin kind or stew dumplings?
They are from a chinese dumpling place.
I have mine stuffed with courgette or sometimes cabbage, Dh likes his with beef.We have a mix of fried and steamed with side dishes of broccoli and ginger and shredded carrot and sesame.

My Nando's will be here any moment. I'm doing 1200 cals a day so have literally starved myself for this. It's going to be fantastic.

Sushi!

Tbh I'd rather have curry, but DH has started getting a dodgy tummy every time we have a takeaway curry. I eat low carb, which means Thai, pizza and most chicken and burger places are out. So he's having sushi and spring rolls, and I'm having sashimi

We had Chinese but was not really as we had chicken & sweetcorn soup, Tom yum soup, egg fried rice & steamed dim sum. Twas sublime.

We are having Chinese. The kids had KFC (I rarely allow them to have it but I was too tired to argue 🤮).

We are having king prawn curry, sirloin with green peppers and black beans, Singapore vermicelli, pancake rolls and rice.

We had roast duck chow mein (DD5's favourite) special chop suey, sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, chips, spring rolls and prawn crackers. DS3 had a steak and kidney pie! I can rarely persuade DH to get a Chinese so it was a real treat for me...and there are leftovers for later my lunch tomorrow Grin

We had fish, chips. mushy peas & curry sauce in the park earlier. It was lovely, although DDad collected our order and didn't get enough salt & vinegar.

have to say i am stuffed! i couldn't finish it.. (but that may be due to the chocolate digestives i finished off an hour before Blush)
