Has anyone been to Court during Covid?

I'm due in court as a witness in August, don't want to do into any detail if possible as it's outing but will there still be a full jury in the court room! I've been told witnesses must come alone and must bring your own drinks etc... But nothing else. Will the defendent still be in court? Its Crown Court. Not sure if that makes a difference

Some defendants are being produced, others are appearing via video link.

I know someone who went to crown court in june. So yes, people will physically be there.

Just to add the jury were all there too. There was a lot of cleaning going on in between.

I work in the courts. Yes jury will still be there but will be spread out. Defendant may be there or may appear by video link. Witness care may be able to give you more information. There's plenty of hand sanitiser, you have to wear a mask in the public parts of the building but will almost certainly have to remove it to give evidence (but that is up to the Judge). Hope that helps.

I’ve been asked to be a witness, they asked if they needed to take anything into consideration and I let them know I’m extremely clinically vulnerable so on the shielded list, I’m curious as to how they will handle it. The only place I’ve been inside other than my house is the drs for my five year swab. Scary to think of being in a building or room with so many people.
