I’ve got a wallet sized photo I’d like to get enlarged to 10x8. Is this possible given how small the print currently is and how big I want it to be?

It isn't going to be a yes/no answer in this context i'm afraid, but I suspect it'll be a little soft at that size if it's like a passport sized photo for example.

Is this something you plan to do yourself? If so scan the photo in at at least 300dpi, but as high as your scanner will allow. This will give you the best chance of being able to enlarge.

If it's still a bit too fuzzy and you have any photo editing software or access to photoshop you may want to try sharpening the photo a bit as this usually helps with clarity.

I was just going to take it to Max Spielmann and ask them to scan it and enlarge it for me. I have absolutely no software to do this myself and I’m completely clueless Grin

Always worth a try then OP.
If they say they aren't able to, don't be too discouraged if it's something that'll be quite important to you. It wouldn't necessarily mean it couldn't be done. It may just be that it doesn't meet their quality control criteria if it's a bit soft. If that's the case and you know anyone with a scanner i'd ask them for a favour. It's a 2 minute job Wink

Thank you for the advice Smile Much appreciated! It’s a professional one so I guess the quality will be better than if it was a picture I took on my phone.
