Hello Fresh/Gousto etc

Does anyone use them? Any recommendations? Are they as good as they look?

I’ve had my eye on them for a while but never really got much further than thinking I must give them a try

Struggle with dinners a bit, DH and I both work full time and it’s crazy busy at work at the moment and don’t get home until 7:30/8pm. By which time, neither of us can be arsed to cook, we’ve usually forgotten to get anything out of the freezer that morning so end up cobbling something together and eating at 8:30/9. By then, most of the evening has gone. I hate cooking, hate deciding what to cook and we’ve just generally got stuck in a rut.

They look fab - quick, 30 minute meals with all ingredients provided.

Just need a weekly Asda delivery for snacks/lunch stuff/pet food/etc

It’s 50% off the first box, but even full price I don’t think it’s bad for 5 meals for 4 people

Reviews seem to be a bit mixed though

Absolutely love them. We tart around a bit following the offers, HF, Gousto and Mindful Chef.

Takes all the thinking out of dinner.

I do both Hello Fresh and Gousto (I have a Gousto box arriving today) and love them.
I alternate depending on which menus I like best or which have offers on.
The meals are really tasty and a great way to try different food.

Yep we love cooking but mid week it feels like a chore to choose, shop etc. We do it three nights and so far like it. They're mainly healthy and some are super quick. Better than ready meals but do involve chopping and cooking.

We get hello fresh as a treat instead of a take away. We really like them.

Gousto is amazing, Hello Fresh is OK, don't ever be tempted to try the Morrisons version of this, it's dire.
Gousto has changed my life its fair to say, no dispair at what to eat this week, no faffing about trying to get one elusive ingredient delivered from the online shop etc, it's fab.
I do a HUGE monthly online Asda shop for basics, then a little weekly shop for fruit, bread etc.

I use simplycook which is all the herbs, spices, pastes and so on with a recipe card. You then buy only five or so fresh and store cupboard ingredients. I like it because I can substitute vegetables we prefer, scale up recipes, and the boxes sit in the cupboard so
no pressure to cook them in a limited time frame. I have a code for free box if anyone wants to try them.

I've tried both and am a complete convert. It's so easy and the meals are good. They take all the faff out of having to plan etc. Highly recommend.

I love them. But now they're full price I've stopped. I've used all my referrals! I have some good ideas now though and a great stock of recipe cards. We all tried so many different foods that it has done wonders for meal times. Got us out of a rut!
