London late at night

I'll be in London for a couple of nights in August and was just wondering what it is like. I'm not normally the nervous type and, pre pandemic, spent a lot of time there but just wondered if it feels safe there walking around late at night. Is it super quiet? Does it feel different? Or a certain areas not nice to be in?

It completely depends on where you go! It’s a huge city. There are areas that I wouldn’t feel safe to go in during the day.
Where are you staying and what are your plans.

In normal times pre-Covid the city centre felt safer to me than most other places because there were so many people around. I don't live there now so not sure how things have changed.

I'll be in Bloomsbury. In the evenings I'll be most likely in Islington or Fitzrovia and normally would have thought nothing of walking back from either of those at around midnight or later.

It always amazes me how busy London is at night. I don't live there but visit fairly regularly. I don't ever worry about walking around London.
