I’ve been lucky enough to see some wonderful parts of the world, but a road trip in Scotland today was just about the most magical experience ever.

Hope you like the photos of who I was within touching distance of today, up in the heart of Glencoe.

I've been to some amazing places across Europe and Asia, but I still love Britain and the sheer diversity and subtlty of the landscape. Start in one place and go 10 miles in either direction and it can be totally different in all three places.

CormoranStrike · 29/07/2020 20:53

Very true. A friend has challenged me to take a series of photos within 100 metres of one another to see just how diverse our country is. Might try that this weekend.

I used to work in a village around 10 miles or so as the crow flies from where these photos were taken OP. One morning I was driving to work, came over the brow of a hill and had to do a full on emergency stop to avoid crashing into a herd of wild goats on the road. I must have missed one of them by about a centimetre. None of them moved a muscle and they just looked at me unfazed. Now I commute to work in a city and wild goats are no longer a hazard.

We had to do an emergency stop for a sheep on the road just outside on the way home today - traffic halted in both directions and he was not for moving!

Beautiful pictures, I saw a little muntjac deer tonight but he was careering across somebody's drive way, not stopping to have his photo taken! 🦌
