Diabetes test

I have them regular because of my meds, but always drank coke before going, i got told the next one i really have to only drink water what would drinking coke before my test have given me more chance of getting a fake positive or a fake negative?

Probably a fake positive if you’re doing a fasting glucose.

It's a blood test for diabetes and all I drink is coke I feel extremely unwell without it, but I was told that this is effecting the test.
