Hi all, I wanted to post on here to see I anyone had any similar experience to mine.
I am 23 weeks pregnant. I attended my 20 weeks scan and was told to come back in three weeks as the baby was being stubborn and the sonographer managed to get all measurements apart from the spine and heart. Returned for second scan and had the same sonographer who managed to get the spine measurement. But could not demonstrate the 3VT view of the heart and referred me to be seen by fetal medicine for review. On my report she wrote heart normal but wrote a note beside the heart outflow stating 'unable to demonstrate 3VT view referred to fetal medicine for review.' She did ask another senior sonographer to check and the senior sonographer stated that she can see the 3vt from one angle but when she checked from another angle it was not clearly showing a V shape. I was asked to sit outside in the waiting area and senior nurse will book my appointment with the fetal medicine doctor. When I was called the senior nurse stated that there is nothing to worry about yet the view maybe wasn't clear because of my BMI which is high. I will be seeing the fetal doctor on Thursday this week.
Anyone have the same experience please share as I have been reading a lot on google which I know I shouldn't but could not help it.
