Paid Maternity - Civil Service

I work for the UK Civil Service and am confused on paid maternity. How long do you have to work there to get the paid maternity leave rather than statutory? Any clarity would be much appreciated x

So to get occupational enhanced pay in the MoD rather than SMP:

“Must have at least 52 weeks continuous service by the end of the 15th week before the expected week of childbirth.”

I take that as being one year’s service by the time you are 25 weeks pregnant? So you need to wait until you are 6 months in before conception?

Happy to be corrected!

I am currently TTC with under 6 months of service, been trying for 7 months already. The extra money would be nice but happy with SMP to have a baby!
