Grounds for burning down the house

Jenasaurus · 27/07/2020 23:35

My DD has just shown me this, its in her BFs hallway, she is currently sleeping on the floo there, I have told her to sleep with her mouth closed and consider burning the house down as per normal MN guidance in these circumstances.

Anyone know what type it is and if its likely to have a friend (hopefully eaten him hence the size of this beast)

Kill it with fire. That beastie is too big.

I think that's of the people eating variety.

Just give it the keys. Walk away.

Do you think its a false widow or a house spider, I know house spiders are massive but also that we have a surge of false widows in my area at the moment, a lot of people on the local facebook page finding them inside their homes.

Help!
Needs a trigger warning!!!!!
(shudder)

Yes, definite grounds for burning it down

veewee · 27/07/2020 23:53

It's just a common house spider (they can become massive) they are especially common at this time of year in houses, it is definitely not a false widow, so don't worry about that! Although, house spiders can give a nasty bite if they get laid on etc! (I'd still burn the house down though!)

BlackeyedSusan · 28/07/2020 02:55

obvious from the title it was going to be an enormous fucker. shoe induced headache for the spider...

pepperycinnamon · 28/07/2020 04:25

That's not a false widow, it's a common house spider of which there will be hundreds in most houses lurking unseen ready to eat the beasts you really fo not want in your house. You'll see them more in September when they are looking for a mate.
