Hi

Has anyone been to Drusillas since it reopened? Have been asked to go but not sure how I feel about it. I know tickets are limited but I’m still thinking it will be very busy. Thanks:

I haven't so can't help in that respect OP but it's mostly outside isn't it so surely is no less safe than anywhere else. I assume there will be social distancing markers etc in place and masks are required in indoor areas such as shops etc, as per the new guidelines. Take your own hand gel for peace of mind.

Above all if you aren't comfortable don't go, it should be fun rather than stressful but I grew up going to Drusillas and think its fab! You could always call them to enquire about the safety measures they have in place but I imagine it's largely your responsibility to social distance, avoid or queue for busier parts of the park, wash hands, wear a mask, while they've limited guest numbers to enable this.

Anyone else click on this thinking it was about Drusilla in Buffy?

No?

Just me?

Manic apparently. Staff are very good masks, sanitisers etc. But its all fairly pointless as the playground is a free for all.

Pinkstars2501 · 27/07/2020 12:48

@Soubriquet me too....

Went twice last week. Was quite busy earlier in the day, second time we went at 2.30 which was much better and by 4 no queues for anything. Obviously this only works for members.

Adults largely social distancing, free for all for kids.

You need a mask for all shops and food outlets.

Wouldn't use the splash park tho, even with their band system it was packed.

We were largely happy there and if an area was busy just went elsewhere.

Oh and members have to book too now.

I assumed that there was now something else to add to the "Wendys" and the "Karens" - yet another way of categorising women 🤦🏼‍♀️

Me too. I have no idea what's actually going on!

Drusilla's is a zoo/farm park place near Eastbourne

SoloMummy · 27/07/2020 16:04

Drusillas isn't a great park to try and navigate around without being close to others imo and I'd avoid that one in favour of a larger zoo.
But yes they're definitely open.

Bradpittsarmpitts · 27/07/2020 20:11

Thanks everyone. Apologies to those that wanted a Buffy thread!

May be best to avoid then. I have been very strict to date with what we have been doing so perhaps I need to just hold on a bit longer and see what happens.

Thanks for everyone’s comments.

We went on Sunday weekend before last and it was good. Most people were great at keeping their distance and lots of gel and washing hands.

We did spend two hours in the splash zone (not very busy and no band system that day) which was good.
