August with pool?

Is this like asking for the moon on the stick? Desperate to get away- family of 5 adults who have been working throughout and combo of fear of getting stuck overseas/ hassle and cost of ferry/ plane makes UK feel attractive. Posting here in case anyone has their own rentals or can advise.

You’ll be lucky to find somewhere with a pool that has availability. We have a rental property that isn’t even fully finished yet but the lettings agency were so desperate for more properties that we have it let out now until end of September despite it having no kitchen. Some of the holiday parks have availability here and there - few of them have reopened their pools though.

Good luck. I’m sure there will be something out there. Try registering with a few local agencies and they’ll let you know if any cancellations pop up.

Thanks @HandsomeMaid, that’s the sense I’m getting too. Posting here in case anyone is struggling to cancel an already booked place or like you have a place they wouldn’t ordinarily be renting out. Thank you!

Google lothrorien poolside in Somerset - it’s an apartment with indoor private pool.
We stayed a few years ago.
It’s showing as having some availability in August but not a full week.

@HandsomeMaid We know Salcombe well and where we usually go was the first place I checked. However we can go literally anywhere mainland- I found somewhere perfect near Aberdeen this morning but it looks like the dates have gone. Happy to substitute pool for v near sea

Ah, if beach will do instead, try Lounge Holidays in Mid Wales.
We’ve stayed many times in Tywyn with them.
I just had a quick look and their Beach Vista apartment in Barmouth is free some weeks in August.

We’ve found somewhere! Just over £700 for a week in August. 2 of the party are up in Glasgow so is very pleased to have less of a journey!

Reviving this thread with a similar request! The place we stayed last year was perfect but unfortunately not available this year.
As before we want something either with a pool or beach and definitely rustic rather than blingy. The one upthread had no TV but 2 pianos!
4+ one or two weeks in August.

Have you tried isle of Wight? You should be able to get somewhere close to a beach. It's glorious.

Thank you, will look. I’m attracted to Scotland though, lower expectations of warm weather and we enjoyed ‘embracing the hygge’.
