Where I live the properties have allocated parking, 1 space for 1 and 2 bed places and 2 spaces for 3 or more bedrooms.
I live in a 2 bed house neighbour is a 3, so I have 1 and they have 2 parking spaces.
I went out Friday evening and returned about 11.30pm. I got home to find my neighbour had parked their car half in my space and half in the one of theirs directly next to mine. (as diagram shows that all parking spaces are side by side.) this isn't the first time they've parked badly, but the first that I couldn't even attempt to get in the space.
All their lights were off, I didn't want to do wake them to ask them to move, so I parked opposite.
I mentioned it to DH as he was still up and he said I should just park as inconsiderately as them from now on or if they do it again park in their 2nd space of they don't have a 2nd vehicle there already.
Part of me wants to let it go as the house is being used as a sort of bunkhouse by contractors, so although there are 2 who are long term, the other tenants regularly change, so it may only be a short term issue.
The other part of me wants to mention it to them because I have young children and parking the other side of the road makes things difficult, we also pay estate maintenance and part of that covers the parking spaces.
So, do I talk to them or leave it be?
