Step tracker or fitness watch which works while pram pushing?

Is there one? My fitbit isnt counting my steps while I'm pushing the pram and its a bit upsetting to realise as its one of my personal daily goals

The Apple watches definitely work for this (I bought the iWatch 5) and I think most with inbuilt gps would work too. When I looked into it Apple & Garmin were most highly recommended across the board.

Can you put it on your ankle or in your pocket? Does that make a difference?

Pretty sure my Garmin works whilst I’m pushing a pushchair.

Ive been looking at the garmin and apple watches so good to know they do the trick!

How do you find the garmin @rowboatsindisguise?

@Bubblesbubblesmybubbles I love it! I have a vivoactive 3. It does everything I need it to do, and more.

Although Garmin suffered a ransomware attack and their apps have been down since Friday so I am a bit cheesed off with them currently!

Bubblesbubblesmybubbles · 26/07/2020 22:04

Ah thata a pain, hopefully its sorted soon!

Will have a look at that one, thank you

I bought a fitbit a year ago and that counts steps while I push the pram.

IncyWincyGrownUp · 26/07/2020 22:45

My Fitbit worked while pram pushing too, I had the charge model. I have an Apple Watch at the moment, and that also counts regardless of what I’m carrying or pushing.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 26/07/2020 22:47

I just clipped the fitbit to my belt loop if I was out pushing my pram.

caffeinebuzz · 26/07/2020 22:51

My Apple Watch is good for pram walks if I set up the walk as an exercise. Otherwise it massively downplays the steps. An example from this week, I walked a 7.5km route, but it recorded 4km.

Bubblesbubblesmybubbles · 27/07/2020 09:45

My fitbit charge 2 is counting steps but not all of them, i double checked. I tend to wear leggings when walking so have no belt hoop to clip it to annoyingly,

I used to put it in my pocket as this annoyed me. Or, if no pockets, I'd fasten it round my knickers!

Annebronte · 27/07/2020 10:01

You can get a Fitbit that detaches from the wristband and comes with a clip to wear on your waist and or in the centre of your bra Counters that are worn on the torso tend to be most accurate.

Annebronte · 27/07/2020 10:04

Fitbit Inspire is the one I have, with the detachable feature and clip.

MadMadMad · 27/07/2020 10:55

My FItbit can fit in to a clip holder rather than a strap and I then attach it to my bra strap which works well. On my wrist it doesn't pick up steps pushing a wheelchair or a supermarket trolley!

Bubblesbubblesmybubbles · 27/07/2020 13:17

Ah thats great, a few options thank you
