Help with a leather sofa

Hi. I was just looking for recommendations please.

Our sofas have finally given up. We’ve had them for over 10 years and have 3 dc, 3 dogs and 2 cats! They have been put through a lot! I’ve been looking online at the usual places - DFS, SCS, Sofology etc - and they all have terrible reviews on trustpilot.

Does anyone know where we I can get a good quality leather sofa? I’m completely stuck as a lot of reviews are saying their sofa started cracking in less than a year or it wasn’t real leather.

TIA

I've had a SCS leather sofa for over 12 years, it is a bit tired now but has been very well used with a growing family and labrador.

Iirc when we bought ours scs explained there were different types of leather, some more resilient/thicker than others, has different looks and the price tag to match. Scs sold all different types.

We took out the 5 year warranty but didn't use it. After 7 years the most used seats began to sag and we considered replacing. We called scs and asked for the name of their repairer as it was out of warranty and we wanted to call them directly to arrange a fix. They sent them out to fix free of charge and the guy restrapped underneath all the seats, so can't fault their service.

With leather sofas like anything else you get what you pay for, you also need to look after them and apply balm every few months to prevent the drying out and cracking.

I would recommend googling to see the different types of leather and treatments used in furniture, then go to scs etc and tell them what you are looking for.

We have had SCS leather sofa for over 6 years now with no problems. It is an electric recliner and it was an excellent purchase

Darlings of Chelsea. Ours is the Sloane sofa. Had it for almost 13 years and it still looks as good as new.
