We're in between two, is one better than the other?

Neither. Keeping marine creatures in captive is cruel.

Exactly what I was going to say

MoiraRosesTransAtlanticDrawl · 26/07/2020 07:12

Heart breaking places.

StealthPolarBear · 26/07/2020 07:22

OK thanks. We will look for somewhere different

I’ve been to GY lots of times. I’ve never found it more heartbreaking than the zoo? Can someone tell me the difference.
@StealthPolarBear I’ve never been to Hunstanton but GY one is expensive for what it is. You have to follow a path and move along fairly quickly because of the crowds though this will possibly be different now.

slipperywhensparticus · 26/07/2020 08:13

The sea life centres take part in massive breeding programmes that release animals back into the wild that man kill off due to pollution etc they really arnt evil places

I've been to great Yarmouth one the kids loved it but it is small like the others

HereBeFuckery · 26/07/2020 08:18

The Hunstanton one has a seal rescue programme - seals are released once they are well again.

Monstermissy36 · 26/07/2020 08:22

GY one is small and I think expensive for what it is... it takes about an hour tops to go round and that's if you drag it out!

You could couple it with a trip to the Pleasure Beach (need to pre book), or visit Model Village or the water ways... there is enough to do for a day on the seafront but the Sealife Centre won't keep you busy long.

TheApprentice · 26/07/2020 08:43

The Hunstanton one will not take long either...i reckon you can do them both in an afternoon!

TheApprentice · 26/07/2020 08:45

If you are looking for something to do in Hunstanton i can recommend the very cheesy pirate themed crazy golf!

Lonecatwithkitten · 26/07/2020 08:56

If you are half way between book a seal trip at Blakeney/ Morston and go and see them in the wild a Blakeney point lasts longer and far more fun.

Pinkyyy · 26/07/2020 08:58

Please don't go to sea life. They are absolutely awful places. You only have to look into it briefly to see the unspeakable practices they engage in. I wouldn't give them a penny of my money or a second of my time.

MoiraRosesTransAtlanticDrawl · 26/07/2020 09:03

Rosie no different from zoos, they are life sentences in prisons for animals that have committed no crime.

Soubriquet · 26/07/2020 09:08

Hunstanton has a lovely aquarium. It has been modernised in recent years and like a PP said, seals are rescued, rehabbed and released.

They have a nice play area too

RosieLemonade · 26/07/2020 09:08

@TheApprentice GY has a pirate themed crazy golf as well. Seems like they have a lot in common.

TheApprentice · 26/07/2020 09:25

Rosie Lemonade that is funny!

StealthPolarBear · 28/07/2020 19:57

Just to say we went for a rainy walk instead

OP - The Hunstanton one is very small and overpriced. We went with small children and dragged it out to about an hour and half.
