Can you dilute Cuprinol garden paint?

So I can’t find the shade of fence paint anywhere. And buying Cuprinol garden shards paint is going to set me back about £200 easily for the amount I need to paint the fence in just one coat, let alone 2/3! As before we were happy with a paint stain for the fence, can you dilute Cuprinol so it goes further?

Or anyone know a magic shop which is still selling fence paint?

What shade are you going for? How big is you fence??

Well it is water based so in principle you can dilute it, although you probably won't get a good coverage.

I too can't find the Cuprinol colour I want without paying stupid money on ebay, so am waiting until they restart manufacturing.

It is already very runny. I suppose you could, but I don’t think it will achieve anything. It takes two coats to look good and would probably take 3 or 4 watered down.

Good point about diluting needing more coats, but happier for a lighter coverage/more natural wood appearance/stain than full in cuprinol garden shades finish.

Was looking for Rondel’s fence paint warm stone. Was £12 for 5L. Cuprinol equivalent isn’t 3x the price and doesn’t go as far.
