Trying this dieting thing, the fasting in the evening and no snacks.my problem is watching tv in my alone time when kids are in bed without snacks feels so sad and crap and not enjoyable. Dieting is shit!why cant we all just eat whatever and be slim gorgeous healthy happy people!!

I used to go to diet clubs and most of the evening snackers had started some sort of craft in the evenings to do while watching tv; knitting, crochet, cross stitch and that seemed to help them not snack. Kept their hands and minds busy and their craft work clean!

I have something naughty the minute the girls are in bed then eat something like celery or peas you have to shell when in season just for the action of snacking.

I snack, but never in the evenings. It's not through willpower - I'm just never tempted to eat anything after my evening meal for some reason (even if I'm sitting in front ofthe tv). My snacking weak points are about 10:30 - 11:00 and about 4pm.

I think keeping your hands busy is probably a good plan. I love knitting and crochet - maybe I should quickly go and do a row of knitting as soon as the desire for a anack hits me mid-morning or mid-afternoon!

I'm also trying to shift weight. Im a savoury snacker. I make hummus and have carrot celery cucumber sticks. Bowl of homemade chilli with homemade wedgies. Not a bag of crisps but it does the job.
