Driving test, going to uni...

DS2 goes to uni in September. He's ready to take his practical test as of now, but I see they aren't even allowing anyone to even book a test at the moment, unless they're a 'critical worker'.

This is a pity because he's learned that route well.

Should he stop lessons altogether until he finds an instructor in his uni town?

WWYD?

Many U.K. wide companies like Red driving school will let you transfer unused lessons to uni town and refund or only charge any difference in hourly rate. So he can keep getting lessons here and then have a few at uni town and do practical test there.
