Is 7mo too young to stop a dummy?

My DD is 7m.

I want to stop the dummy ideally, she's had it since about 5m.

The reason is because she can't find it in the night, and I have to get up and out it in.

I am thinking if going "cold turkey" and just patting and shhhing for a bit to help her calm down.

She only needs it for cit naps, and in middle of night wakings. But she's getting more attached to it and looks for it at bedtime, or in the morning, where she'd never done that before.

Is this too soon? Have I left it too late? Or should I just let her keep it?
