"Nice" mug for morning coffee????

Any recommendations for a large, china type mug for a big tea/coffee drinker? I have Denby 'Craftsman' mugs ( part of set) for 10 years, which I love, but would love to add a couple of unusual mugs to my collection. Have lots of mismatched/odd ones which my kids have picked up over the years, but would love something a bit special. Would love it to be quite large, handle that is comfortable to hold and is a bit different! Any suggestions ??

Emma Bridgewater mugs are lovely. I also have some Churchill mugs which are the perfect shape

WellTidy · 22/07/2020 22:20

Dunoon London’s shape.

WellTidy · 22/07/2020 22:21

Not London’s. Lomond.

Have a look at the Anthropologie site. They do beautiful cups and mugs. They can be a bit pricey but definitely make you feel special when you drink from them Smile

These are our coffee mugs and I love them

I'd love to be able to explore the world of cute mugs and build a collection but it would bother me too much that they would not all match my bowls, side plates and dinner plates.

If you want to buy one on my behalf I was admiring the £10 Winnie the Pooh mug on the Disney Store website.

Iwanttositundermyownvine · 22/07/2020 22:46

I have a few things from Sass and Belle, including one of my top 3 coffee mugs.

They have loads and loads of styles and designs so bound to be something you like.

RomaineCalm · 22/07/2020 22:46

Emma Bridgewater ½pint mugs are my favourite. I'm slowly replacing other ones with these when I see them in the sale.

RomaineCalm · 22/07/2020 22:49

Oh, and have a look at Moorland Pottery. Their mugs feel 'right' and have some different designs.

Martamaybe · 22/07/2020 22:52

If you fancy some handmade mugs have a look at Selborne pottery online . They have beautiful large mugs . Leach pottery mugs are available from Seasalt which are also lovely . We have some wonderful pottery in the uk . I may have a bit of a mug obsession Smile

Thank you all so much.....am working my way through all the suggestions 😍. I know what you mean, Ouch321 about matching the mugs but most of my other mugs , plates, bowls etc are Denby Linen which is v neutral so most things tone in with them . If my new mugs dont match, I may have to start a new collection 😃🤑. To those who have recommended Anthropologie I'm really loving the choice but may never be able to decide....want them all😀. Keep suggestions going as am working through them all ( my DH and DSons are watching Liverpool 🍾)!

John Lewis "Leon" mugs are nice.

Canyousewcushions · 22/07/2020 22:59

I'd have a google and see if there's a pottery studio in your area so you could pick something properly hand made and special.

This is a lovely shape to hold (can't be doing with angular mugs) - great for hot chocolate.

These are my favourites for tea - I've got 4 different ones including the puffin.

The 'naice coffee' mug got relegated to be a pen holder though.Grin

There's a few lovely Emma Bridgewater mugs in their sale at the moment.

LynetteScavo · 22/07/2020 23:19

I take an Emma Bridgewater mug on holiday incase the mugs in the cottage/caravan/hovel are not up to much.

LynetteScavo · 22/07/2020 23:20

They're crap quality though, I have about 20 in my garden being used as mini plant pots and ten more in the house holding pens.
