My DD is having surgery next week (only a very minor procedure). She had the pre op assessment over the phone yesterday where it became clear they were not aware of her existing health problems. I think this is partly because the surgery is taking place in a different trust. Anyway I gave them all the details and I'm wondering what happens now. The nurse just said someone will be in touch to give me a time to take her in next week. What happens to the information I gave regarding her conditions? Will someone review it prior to confirm she is suitable for surgery?
