Never leaving the house again

I’m home alone for the first time in months. Thought I would treat myself to a little “special time” left the dogs in the kitchen and nipped upstairs. Got my special helper out of the top drawer, few minutes later I could hear barking, ignored it - my dogs are in the kitchen. It carried on so I looked out of the open window, special helper both visible and buzzing in hand, to see my dogs had gotten out (can’t have shut the door properly) and next door playing with them at the gate. Unfortunately he looked up as I was at the window, laughed and then said he will leave me to it.

I’ve shook a box of dog food to get the back in without me going out, the door is now definitely closed (and locked) and I’m deciding how life will be now I’m never leaving the house again.

That. Is brilliant. 😂 I confused my neighbour the other day by falling deliberately to the floor as I was in too small a towel whilst opening the window and I didn’t need his scrutiny, but that has nothing in your event. You’re going to have to move, right?

LadyCatStark · 21/07/2020 19:05

You’re going to have to move...

LaurieFairyCake · 21/07/2020 19:06

Yeah but move in the DEAD of night

Newnamenewopenme · 21/07/2020 19:08

I’ve already got the curtains closed. I can’t face the world today, our gate creaks really loudly so I can’t even sneak out. I want to suggest to my partner that he goes put some wd40 on it but don’t want next door to see him and make conversation - I can already here the lube jokes!

I might look at houses on the outer Hebrides, less likely to make a fool of myself if I don’t have neighbours for miles.
