Do you take supplements?

I've recently lost quite a bit of weight and changed my eating habits, I've been exercising regularly and staying hydrated.
I try to focus on veg, protein, fish and the like but recently I can't get myself out of bed in the morning, it's the only time I can get my exercise in (I'm not crazy with it but like to get 20-30 mins done) but I'm feeling achey and very groggy and usually just press snooze and stay in bed instead.

Its affecting me throughout the day as well I'm usually tired and unmotivated. Lack of exercise is affecting this too as it usually gives me a bit of a boost for the day if I get it done.
I'm wondering if something is missing and if I could perhaps start supplementing with a vitamin/multivitamin of some sort to help me along.

Does anyone else take supplements? What would you recommend? Do they help?

vit d3 and iron

both because I'm deficient.

Multi-vitamin, VitD, VitC and colligen. Ds16 has also got me drinking one or two of these high magnesium lemonades that he buys from some health food shop every week.

I take a Berocca tablet daily. Lots of people poo-poo them as expensive and pointless but they are an easy and convenient way for me to counteract exactly what you describe.

@lukasiak would you say the collagen does anything for you?

@TreacherousPissFlap i used to have them when I was starting to feel under the weather never really thought of them as a supplement for some reason.

oh, and magnesium after a run.

Vitamin D or I become deficient. Iron as I'm borderline. Magnesium (in glycinate form) as I read that it's depleted in soil and hard to get enough of now, and is a vital nutrient. Also Omega 3, Vitamin C, Zinc, K2 on a bit more of an ad hoc basis.

I take multivitamins as I can't absorb enough nutrients, and iron, Vit D, B12 because I'm deficient in those.

It might pay to get some blood tests to check if you're lacking in anything, the three that I mentioned make me feel like that if I get low.

I take an A-Z multivitamin (that has 100% RDA of everything), collagen (I lost six stone and have a lot of loose skin, apparently it helps), and magnesium.
