Could you check and see if your councils collecting sofas/chairs at the moment please?.

Mines NW Leics & there not.

I have a leather 4 seater sofa, huge footstool plus an armchair that I want to get rid of but they won’t collect due to corona risks.

I’m sure I’ve seen other people on here having sofas collected though.

Ah thank you, that’s two I know of then. My house is so cluttered with stuff that would have usually gone to the tip. It’s getting me down ☹️

Under the bit where they say they won’t take soft furnishings there’s a bit saying email us for a quote 🤨🤔.

A charity came to collect ours recently. I think the council would have done but on the site it was encouraging people to see it as a last resort so I phoned around a few other places.

Just checked and the page has gone back to pre-Covid wording. They charge £20 for a collection. But you might find a charity who will collect for free
