I'm sick of the sight of chilli but have some mince to use today.

What can I make?

Family favourite here is what has been named Italian shepherd pie.

Bolognese on bottom, cheesy Parmesan mash, ciabatta crumb topping. Serve with green veg. Crowd pleaser in this house. Very comfort foodish.

With my last lot of mince, I made burgers with added feta and courgette. They were lovely.

I roughly follow this. it's so simple but so much nicer than cooking pasta and mince separately. I've mostly used fresh pasta and just slightly reduced time. My grill is naff so I've finished in the oven for 10 minutes

@Stillmonday yes!

Fry chopped onion and garlic, add mince till browned. Add tin of tomatoes, a stock cube, then chuck in hens and spices that you like (I add mixed herbs, ground cumin, ground coriander, cinnamon and dash of Henderson's Relish). Let it simmer whilst you cook the pasta until half cooked. Add a mug of the pasta water to the sauce to thin it out. Drain pasta then mix into the sauce. Top with cheese and bung it in the oven for 20 minutes. Pasta will finish cooking in the sauce and will be perfect.

That's our standard Monday night dinner with left over for Tuesday lunch.
