Heading to Leamington Spa

I've got a very rare day to myself, and after a very lazy morning, I'm planning on heading to Leamington Spa for 3/4 hours to people watch, mooch, have lunch/coffee and research mumsnet my next step after redundancy on my laptop.

I know nothing about the place at all, can anyone give me any suggestions for places to go for the above?

What sort of food do you like? There are a lot of great options.

Jephson Gardens is a beautiful place to park up and people watch and/or picnic.

Thanks @CoveredInBeeeees, I like generally home made food especially cake. I've not got a picnic, can I get any food at Jepson Gardens? I'm just about the get in the car and it's about 45 minutes away.

Or this is a lovely cafe about 2 minutes walk from Jephson and across the road from Pump Room Gardens
