I loved My Sister's Keeper, though not any of Jodie Picoult's other books as I soon realised the formula.

When Breath Becomes Air is a beauty

@TipTopTap - I loved Never Let Me Go too.

One that never gets mentioned in book threads is The brief wonderous life of Oscar Wao, by Junot Diaz.
Loved it, so funny and heart wrenching.
I tend not to keep books but I loved this so much I asked the friend I lent it to, to give it back. (She didn't.)

My absolute faves are:

Charlotte Sometimes - a Children’s book, but great.

1984 - my all time favourite.

Boating for beginners - Jeannette Winterson

Forsyte Saga

A Time traveller's wife

Lion

Most of the books by Bill Bryson, Jeanette Winterson and Jostein Gaarder.

Currently reading the good doctor of Warsaw. A novel about the true story of Janusz Korczak - a Jewish author, doctor and pedagogue who (is my hero) died in the Holocaust.
