Does anyone have any ideas where to buy these in the uk? I've not seen many options other than Amazon.

I always thought a comforter was a quilt / duvet? You can get them anywhere. Or have I got the wrong thing?

I got mine from Anthropologie. Expensive, but it’s 100% cotton and it’s like sleeping under a cool cloud in summer.
I think West Elm also has a uk site.

OP, I feel you. I ended up getting a friend to buy some from Walmart and ship them over.

My mum made mine. If you look at craft groups in your local area you might find someone who would make one for you.

@Zisforstripyoss Having lived in a bunch of different countries, I find what people call things amusing. To me, a comforter and a quilt are almost the same thing, essentially a thicker layer of wadding sandwiched between two layers of sheeting. The “cover” is stitched in place so isn’t removable but the whole thing is thin enough to go through the washer & dryer (well, a big washer and dryer that is more standard in the US) A duvet is much thicker and puffier and generally goes inside a removable cover.
It’s weird. I was desperate for a light comforter last year when I was living in the UK and it was so hot in summer. Now that I’m in the US, I’m begging friends to post me decent duvet covers from Marks and Sparks, although the selection here seems to be improving. It’s bizarre though because loads of places here sell duvets but you need to sell a kidney to get a decent duvet cover. Don’t even get me started on the sizing 🤷‍♀️

Oh, Dunelm also has them in the uk. @jerometheturnipking is right though - they do seem to be called bedspreads (which I think is something else entirely! Only my grandma had bedspreads as they were old fashioned and they were a weird looped cotton throw type of thing - almost like a towel with a fringe Grin)

Next do them too.

You mean like this in WalMart or
Naturalbed company

Sorry for delay replying and thanks for all the replies. This is the sort of thing I mean so essentially a duvet but no need to put a cover on it since it's made out of a patterned or coloured fabric already. Hope that makes sense!
