Center Parcs Whinfell

Has anyone been this week since reopening? I wondered what is open, what activities are available etc?

Bumping

I’ve not been to Whinfell but I was in the Longford one last week . The pool was closed, from memory the website said all their UK/Ireland pools open later in the month. All shops were closed apart from ParcMarket and the sweet shop.
There were plenty of activities on and because the park was only at 25% capacity they were easy to book. They seemed to be asking people doing the high ropes course/zip line to wear masks but it was still running. Kayaks and other boats were still on the boat as usual. The outdoor play parks were open but the indoor soft play was closed.
They also seemed to be planning to have more delivery options from restaurants, at one point we were passed by 10 identical mopeds who were apparently training to do food delivery.

Thanks yes the pools are opening in the English ones in about a week’s time. We are going in a few weeks and the pool should be open for us although you’re limited in the number of times you can go per break and how long you can stay. Interesting it was only at 25% capacity; I hadn’t read anywhere exactly what capacity they would be running at. I wonder if that will be the same when we go.

We only found out about the 25% from a member of staff, I don’t think that’s what they were aiming for, more that they didn’t get many bookings when the pool wasn’t available so I’m not sure what their maximum will be.
We did have a lovely time though.

We go in a couple of weeks. They called me and offered A complementary upgrade. Not sure why.

Maybe it was to do with distancing and lodge locations. If I go on our booking, our lodge has already been allocated.

Yeah possibly. Our lodge was already allocated too. It’s further out than the previous lodge but has better features so we took it.
