ive had the paraguard iud in since March, my first few periods were heavy and long but regular. This month im a week late, is this normal? Im trying to be rational but slightly panicky!

I would say it’s only normal if you lr cycles are usually irregular. I’ve had mine for years. Cycles are like clockwork because that’s how they are without the coil. If your cycles are usually regular, yes, I’d say it’s strange.

I’ve never had a late period as a result of the coil but I have had late periods during cold weather. Is there something else that may be a trigger for you?

Cant think of anything, im usually pretty regular to within a few days, although last months lasted a ridiculous amount of time so maybe its just that.

I have copper coil and stayed pretty regular, but always have been. Think its less likely to mess with cycles etc because of having no hormones.
