Fitbits are they worth it?

I've been on a diet since mid May. Lost 7kg so far. All good. Still a far bit to loose before I'm in the healthy bmi range.

I've been tracking my steps on my phone and I try to hit 12k a day. It's a pain always having my phone with me and the app is really draining the battery. I think I'd like to get a fit it to help keep me motivated.

Would be interesting to hear feedback from anyone who uses a fitbit. Is it helpful?

I've got a Charge 3 and I keep meaning to put the stupid thing on EBay. It's useless as a watch as you can't read the display in sunlight. I found the Zip and One much more accurate and it's disappointing that Fitbit stopped making them.

Thanks everyone. Just ordered a charge 3!

@PinkSparklyPussyCat try the Inspire, the non heart rate monitor one can be used in a clip.

Mine died exactly one year to the day of purchase

I had a Charge 2 and it was great. It gave me a lot of motivation and the sleep info was accurate. I now have a Samsung Galaxy watch and I don't like it as half as much as the Fitbit. The sleep info isn't accurate for a start.

Definitely get a Fitbit.

DH and I both have the Charge2. I'm faintly indifferent to mine but DH loves his.

I work shifts so it's useful to track my sleep so if I'm tired I can see that, though I was in bed for 8 hours, my sleep was actually very broken. It's also useful for keeping track of my periods as I charge towards the menopause.

DH OTOH loves to see how far he's walked, when he's walked, how many times he's walked and so on.
