What's everyone up to today?

I haven't started one of these in a while & can't see one so...

I'm having my usual peaceful weekend morning cuppa. The window's open & the only sounds are the wind in the trees, next door in their kitchen, and a siren on the main road.

I had planned to do some sewing today but we haven't really been out all week so I think we'll go for a wander down the river today instead. Dd2 will happily get dressed to come, dd1 will moan and groan but actually enjoy it once she's out 🙄

I need to do some washing first so will stick the machine on in a minute, so that can go out on the line. And, I haven't spoken to my dad in a couple of weeks so I'll speak to him at some point.

Other than that, I don't think we'll do much really. I suspect dd2 will watch Moana again later though Grin.

What about you lot? Anyone up to much? :)

Waiting for the food shop, then I'll be having a bacon sandwich, watching the formula one and going out for a walk later. Lovely chilled day after a night out last night.

DS is at his dad's this weekend. I'm going to go and have a coffee at a coffee shop, shop for a friend's birthday gift and go out for a couple of cocktails late afternoon. Then a chilled night in with a long bath and a film.

I'm taking my daughter with me to visit my sister and niece. We've seen them once since January. Tea and cake in their garden. I'm really looking forward to it.

Apart from the usual (cleaning, food shop, meal preparation):

DH is back at work.
I am able to eat again after having a wisdom tooth out - so that's what I'll do Smile while looking at my plants listening to a book.
DD still busy with her last uni assignment for this semester.
DS is doing nothing (school vacations].

This is my first weekend alone since my STBXH moved out, the kids have gone away with their grandparents for the weekend so it’s just me!

I had takeaway and watched rubbish TV last night, today I’m going to clean the house from top to bottom and relax later with a hot bath and a book.

LunaNorth · 18/07/2020 12:48

Nowt.

It was my mum’s funeral yesterday and I have zero energy or motivation.

Am currently in bed in my pjs. Have ventured downstairs to forage for food a couple of times but I just crawl back up again.

I think I’ll just write off today and have a better today tomorrow.

I’m currently lounging around with the dog (DH is working) but I’m getting my hair cut at 3pm and I’m so excited. I’m sick of looking like Worzel Gummidge Blush

It’s raining here. Pouring.
After finishing the longest term at school I’m desperate to just curl up and read and drink tea.
Need to tidy and clean the house I’ve ignored for weeks

@betteliefsen just put the qualifying on here.

I need to do a couple of hours work this weekend but just dont feel like it today. I have played schools with ds all morning (his choice), now watching the f1 qualifying with him and will have to head out for some food shopping after that.

Everyone is home and doing their own thing in the lounge, so all together. Horse racing is on the TV (not my thing), baby napping on me, coffee in my hand and bf next to me. Some boring chores throughout the day, then chippy for dinner. Grin

Nothing much been done today, got a leg of lamb in the oven for the past 3 hours, going to start on the accompaniments soon.

Trying to book a holiday for the end of the week for a few days, really need a change of scene. Need to do some clothes alterations for dh but might leave that until tomorrow.

Took the kids to Poundland this morning, it was the first time they have been shopping since lockdown so they thought it was the best treat ever! Then came home, did a little bit of gardening and a lot of tidying up, now cooking pasta bake while my littlest plays and my husband & son have gone for long awaited hair cut!
