18th Birthday

I have a male family member turning 18 years next month, and am looking for ideas.
Any decent gifts, quirky items, something special or unusual, maybe even subscription boxes of some kind?

I'm a bit stuck, especially with not really the option to browse around etc.

I've had a search too, only found Zombie threads though.
However, one of them suggested 18 little gifts (adult themes?)

Can anyone think of anything that may be helpful for this?

What do they like to do in their spare time?

They like to watch TV series, old films. Very much a gamer, both console and desktop. Interested in history, other cultures, mythology. A good reader.

Tbh I don’t think an 18yr old man would like 18 little gifts. Probably better to get 1 big gift- any activity days you could pay for, an experience eg, car racing? A nice item of clothing? A new gaming chair?

18 year olds want cash.

Don't waste your money on novelty items- get him something he wants or give him the cash.

I had a flying lesson for my 18th, that was pretty amazing. Or a skydiving type experience?

Theme park tickets? We used to be obsessed with theme parks when we were that age!

My son just turned 18 and really wanted a gold chain. We gave him the money he chose it for himself, he is really pleased with it. Depends what your 18 yr old is into. Annual Spotify subscription maybe...
