Country pubs and toilets

There's a few places we sometimes go to where we have lunch at a country pub, then sit in a field down the road all afternoon but return to the pub a couple of times to go to the loo. Or sometimes we bring a picnic but buy a drink at the pub later.

All the usual pubs are saying they're open but it's bookings only.

Does this mean we won't be able to just pop in to use the loo a couple of times, even if we're planning on going to the pub properly later? It's sometimes possible to have a pee outdoors but we don't want to be caught short for the other thing. I'm desperate to get out of town as they've only just announced we're allowed to go on public transport again.

All the pubs round here that are bookings only have staff on the door and you can't go in if you haven't booked.

It's bookings only because they have to limit the amount of people inside. It's unlikely they will let you in to use the toilet.

Okay thanks, I think it'll be best if we make a booking then.
