Loving the mask

I see there is a lot of mask hatred, and I get it, I wear one all day at work and initially I found it very hot and uncomfortable. However, as the months have passed, I now love it. It's quiet literally a little shield to the world.

I have never really been happy with how I look and am I bit of an introvert in a people facing role and the mask has given me a new level of confidence! I might customise some with an eating/drinking aperture for going to the pub.

Does anyone else feel the same?!

I love masks, as it means I don't feel like I need to wear foundation!

My face also tends to betray my emotions; I feel like hiding the bottom of my face means I'm a little less obvious in public

Oh my god yes to hidden emotion, and I've developed a great oral eye-roll when someone is pissing me off, whilst my eyes still sat "carry on"!

I'm hoping it takes off as a fabulous headwear trend

This is so funny. We may as well chat to our customers, clients, family and friends on the phone for all that you can glean face to face (or eyes to eyes) Grin

I love them, especially as they hide my double chin and lisp, and there is no need to wear lipstick or lipgloss!

They also enhance my eyes and any eye make up!

Frownette · 17/07/2020 18:27

It is a bonus about make-up.

Only.thing is though that I automatically smile at the salesperson when I buy things and I realised today that was pointless

HaudMaDug · 17/07/2020 18:42

I'm loving mine too. Feels like no one recognises me so getting loads done without having to stop and chat.
No need to worry about missed bits with the NoNo.
Can't express anything with my upper face due to my botox though.

UncleShady · 17/07/2020 18:44

I might grow my moustache Grin

I wonder if I can persuade work that an oodie is perfect for infection control... I think it'd set my mask off beautifully

The annoying guy from church didn't recognise me so it made it easy to ignore his joke about me looking like I was about to rob the shop.

DragonflyInn · 17/07/2020 20:19

Oh thank you op! It hadn’t occurred to me before that a mask will hide my horrible nose! Well that’s cheered up my day Smile

sleepismysuperpower1 · 17/07/2020 20:31

@Frownette I do the smiling thing too, but I noticed that when other people smile you can still tell through their eyes
