Would you rather be ...

On our daily walk me and DC play 'what would you rather', so I thought I'd start a 'What would you rather' thread. One of tonight's WWYR was from DS.

Would you rather be constantly too hot or too cold? The temp you decide is forever and can't change.

For clarification: too hot is above uncomfortable and too cold is beyond comfortable coldness.

I would rather be too cold because I think it's easier to warm up than cool down.

Too cold. I despise the heat. I have my fan on and my windows open in the depths of winter

Anthilda · 17/07/2020 00:28

Too hot, I hate the cold.

Mycatsmellsbad · 17/07/2020 00:31

Too cold, then I’d put a jumper on.

MonkeyToesOfDoom · 17/07/2020 00:32

Im always too cold until the summer when I'm too hot. It's easier in winter to regulate with thermals and layers. So I chose too cold.

2020wasShocking · 17/07/2020 00:34

Too cold- I think...

MotherOfGreyhound · 17/07/2020 00:37

Definitely too cold. I love to knit and this would be the perfect excuse to knit ALL the blankets.

ElizabethMainwaring · 17/07/2020 01:03

Definitely too cold.
Even 'normal' hot weather makes me ill.
I love the winter months.

Lozz22 · 17/07/2020 01:20

Too hot. I spent last winter trying to fathom out my stupid economy 7 heating. For weeks and weeks on end it would warm up midway through the day then go back cold again. Didn't heat up any of the rooms so washing took 3-4 days to dry. Annoying as fuck because at the time I was miscarrying and having to do washing most days due to all the heavy bleeding. I couldn't get warm at all during it, not even wearing 3-4 layers and wrapped in a blanket. In fact for the 2 weeks I was off work I spent most of it in bed under the duvet with a hat and pair of gloves on to try and warm myself up. Economical it bloody wasn't!! £280 for 4 months. Thankfully I've fathomed it out now although if I had my way I'd smash the little fuckers off the wall and have proper central heating put in its place. At least with a radiator you can dry your clothes on it without worrying they're going to set on fire

betteliefsen · 17/07/2020 01:32

Too cold. I'm from a cold place and prefer that.

PennyArcade · 17/07/2020 01:34

Too cold. I can’t function normally when I’m hot (and sweating everywhere!)

Floralnomad · 17/07/2020 01:43

Too cold

TonytheDog · 17/07/2020 02:08

I hate the heat. For all the people saying 'too cold', I agree because although I don't like being cold there are so many more ways (UK) to get warm: hot water bottle, hot bath, more blankets, go for a walk etc. Sometimes in the winter I feel so cold that I walk around - indoors - with a hot water bottle tucked under my vest with 3 pairs of socks and a blanket but ..... in the summer I can't get cool. No air conditioning, stupidly hot house (except it's the opposite in the winter), I feel like I'm melting. I'm not a 'Oh! I love the summer' person though and lots of people I know seem to be. Being out in the sun on a really hot day fills me with dread and, if we ever need to venture out it's after 4pm.
If you're a 'I'd rather be too hot' person, how would you cool down?

Too cold.

Would you rather live on just (cheese and tomato papa johns) pizza or just (dairy milk) chocolate?

isabellerossignol · 17/07/2020 05:32

Too cold for me too. It's almost impossible to cool down when you're too hot but if you're cold there are blankets.

Lalaok · 17/07/2020 06:25

I’m always cold anyway because of thyroid issues so I’d say too cold.
Cheese and tomato pizza at least you get some nutrients.

Pelleas · 17/07/2020 07:19

Cold/Pizza.

(Mmm, cold pizza ... Smile )

AlCalavicci · 17/07/2020 07:19

I hate the cold , my fingers and toes go numb ( shitty circulation ) really quickly so I'd rather be to hot.

Def pizza , at least you would feel full , if I tried to get the same level of fullness from chocolate I'd be sick.
You could also add other stuff to the pizza or is that not allowed ?

MrsJBaptiste · 17/07/2020 08:12

Rather be too hot - once you're really cold, it so hard to get warm at all 😨

TenThousandSpoons · 17/07/2020 08:54

Too cold
Pizza

Would you rather always only be able to whisper or always only be able to shout?

Ghostlyglow · 17/07/2020 09:31

Cold. I'm always cold, anyway.

Zippetydoodahzippetyay · 17/07/2020 13:36

I prefer warmth and summer is my favourite month, but I think I would choose too cold as like others have said, you can always add more layers or thermals but you get to a point where you can't lose anymore layers.

ChangeThePassword · 17/07/2020 13:40

I'm going to say too hot, even though I prefer to be too cold. The reason being I'm from one of the coldest, windiest places in the UK, and too cold for me would be dangerously cold, whereas too hot for me would be other people's 'really nice day', and I know I could acclimatise to that.

Sunnydayshereatlast · 17/07/2020 13:43

Too cold. So used to it!! Our bedroom window lets snow in!!
Our house is always freezing!!
Bring it on!!
Heat makes me feel sick and gives me headaches.
