Changing EasyJet flight date and child becomes an adult

Looking to move EasyJet flights (booked last year) from August 2020 to July 2021. DD would have been 15 travelling this year so booked her as a child but she will turn 16 prior to travel next year. When changing flight to next year she is still registering as a child. Does anyone know if that matters? I know the phone lines are busy hence why I’m asking here first. Have left flights unchanged for now.

Hi, We're in the same boat with our easy jet flight, we should of gone Aug 2020 but it got cancelled so we've changed the flight with no hassle to Aug 2021 however our lad will be 16 next year so he's classed as an adult, it won't let me put his API (advance passanger info) in as its his date of birth what wont go in. We contacted them through the website but not heard anything as yet.

What happened with the child/adult issue? Just in this situation now

You need to phone them after changing the flights and pay the extra tax, I have not done this yet but someone else told me that’s what they did and it was fine.
