Your most innovative ice cream flavours and combinations

I fancy making some ice cream this weekend and want to try out unusual flavours, preferably chocolate ones.

Come and tell me your most outrageous, inventive, bonkers or truly indulgent combinations, tried and tested or purely fantasy, so I can be inspired!

Examples of flavours I’ve found intriguing so far:

• buttered baguette ice cream
• black peppered strawberry honey balsamic ice cream
• carrot halwa ice cream
• Bellini ice cream (white peach and Prosecco)

Also had my tastebuds piqued by a Jaffa cake ice cream - thinking I might make a chocolate base with orange zest and then make an orange curd to swirl through it and maybe chuck in chunks of chocolate brownie as well?

Not quite icecream but I wonder if you could make Sicilian granita in an ice cream maker? Amarena and Orzata flavours are both lovely (Made with amarena cherrys and crushed fresh almonds)

Ooh if you can get fresh almonds in England I bet almond icecream would be delicious (fresh almond milk tastes completely different to the one from the supermarket)

Chocolate and miso

Pear caramel

Cereal milk ice cream (inspired by Momofuku Milk Bar soft serve ice cream flavour)

Apple and grape

I'd try to go for a 4 Cheeses ice cream. Different cheeses, "folded" together so they don't quite mix. Each bite offering a potential new taste. Maybe try it with wine for extra bizarreness?

Olive oil ice cream is absolutely delicious. You can then serve it with toasted pistachios and some more high quality extra virgin olive oil drizzled on top.

The most unusual ice cream I've ever had was chestnut ice cream. A local delicacy in season in the area of Switzerland I was in supposedly.
It was delicious - not best ever but if were looking for unusual.
Jaffa cake sounds divine.

I had eggs and bacon ice cream at the Fat Duck. It was very nice.

I'd like a peanut butter chocolate ice cream with caramel swirls where the peanut butter flavor is very salty and the chocolate sweet, haven't come across that yet.

Fennel ice cream with a vegetable tart. It had goats cheese and beetroot in the tart and vegetable crisps on top of the dollop ofnice cream. It was gorgeous!

Vinegar ice cream to go with a salted pretzel ganache brownie. It was odd, bit worked really well.

Balsamic glaze and strawberry ice cream. Lovely!

I had a ginger ice cream once when out for a meal which I thought would be vile but was actually not too bad lol

In a show of terrible manners, I opted for the Roquefort and honey ice-cream and a Toblerone ice-cream.

The blue cheese ice cream was delicious, especially with roasted pears, but the Toblerone ice-cream was too sweet for me as it was a no churn recipe with condensed milk and cream.
