Are you washing school uniform every day?

If your child is currently in school, are you washing all of the uniform each day?

My dc Year 9 is in every day for half a day at the moment. The school have informed parents we should wash the uniform each day. I am finding it a pain to dry it.

I would normally wash the school trousers every day but the polo shirt and sweatshirt usually last a second day.

Are we expected to do this in September too?

@AtleastitsnotMonday that’s the guidance we send out to parents. Mine wear the same uniform for 2 days in a row, they don’t go in on Wednesdays, with 4 in school and working full time out of the home, I couldn’t wash anymore than that anyway!

@labyrinthloafer

In September we are not advised to do this but I will, but what I am doing is buying three sets they go in a box after wear and I will wash two sets on Tues Eve, they dry over Weds and get reworn on Thurs/Fri. Ties I am treating as school equipment and they stay in the bag.
I have a child starting high school in sept, this is a brilliant way of managing it, thankyou. I have also bought a dettol antibacterial spray especially for fabric so will use it on the school bag and blazer between washes as they won't dry and blazer will be knackered before i know it
