Long story short I’m so upset and anxious over my mat leave. I thought I was due to take 26 weeks enhanced pay, 6 weeks stay pay, my accrued A/L and back to work on 1st September. I was hoping to extend my mat leave a bit as having problems with covid (I know less than 8 weeks notice but my manager was supportive). When I contacted HR they said they had down that I was only having 26 weeks mat leave and am now on my accrued A/L so will be due back in 5 weeks! I have the original form with my return date of September but they said they sent me a letter outlining the 26 weeks then A/L which I never received.
My manager is supporting me coming back in September at the earliest but what do I do?! If technically I’m on payroll as back can they change it back to being on star pay maternity? Everything is online as everyone is working from home so I can’t get hold of HR and waiting on an email response. I’m in tears in case I have to go back to work in 5 weeks as I never received this letter or double checked my dates. I know it’s partly my fault but it there anything I can do? I’m devestated!
