Enough is enough, The Proclaimers brilliant 500 miles painfully drawn out and murdered for a viagra advert.Just no! This is a rousing foot stomping anthem, I can't t take anymore of this awful advertising cliche. Make.It.Stop.

There is a hideous wibbly version of “500 miles” on a tea ad where I am. I wonder if it’s the same one.

Just as bad when they have a whole woman's choir a la Downton Abbey soundtrack and Lloyds bank ads - Hate, Hate , Hate them

@DotDotDotty that ad with the awful version of True Faith is an absolute travesty. An insult to the original, to New Order and to all that is good in the world. That's my hill to expire on and no one can convince me otherwise. Even acknowledging its very existence offends my sensibilities.

The Audi advert with the car on a transporter.
I Could Have Daaaaaanced All Night. No. Go away.

The theme tune to the current BBC drama The Secrets She Keeps (I think that's what it's called) is a strangulated slow version of Kylie Minogue's I Can't Get You Out Of My Head. It is every bit as bad as you'd imagine.

Ugh, me too. I think the 'pop choir' phenomenon is probably just as bad, particularly when they're warbling their way through songs which are plaintive and suited to a single voice ('Bridge Over Troubled Water' springs to mind).

@BitOfFun the BBC has form for this sort of nonsense. Love Will Tear us Apart got covered in Normal People recently and I'm fairly sure Killing Eve had something similar!

At least the cereal advert didn't interfere with Ca Plane Pour Moi.
