I woke up yesterday with an incredibly sore mouth. Not sore throat. That is important. It feels burnt. And my tongue looks frilly? Blush I had a good feel round my mouth and I have 10 ulcers.. wtf is this?? I can't eat.

Should I get a covid test? Or just stop being an idiot and it's just a sore mouth that will go away?

Hard to tell from photo.
Looks like you've been clenching and the grooves/ulcers might have been the pressure from your teeth.
Maybe Google Geographic tongue and see if it fits?
Get a dental check. They should be open for things like this.

Any other symptoms?
A scalloped tongue can be a sign of hypothyroidism.

Just a sore tongue. It's literally covered in raised red dots (not tastebuds)! It feels swollen. Ugh!

Speak to the Dr & request a blood test.
As someone with hypothyroidism I hope you feel better soon Flowers

Mine used to look like rhat and I have underactive thyroid OP, however the scalloped edges and soreness are probably from clenching and grinding in the night.

Most people don't even realise they do it. Your dentist can confirm if you do because it takes its toll on the teeth, wears them down and can crack them. I've cracked several, they required extensive costly repair and still hurt often Hmm. I'd get a mouth guard.

Salt water gargle will help soothe the soreness.

Turns out it's covid.

Gp wanted a covid test before they gave me a blood test so I managed to get one at 7 pm yesterday and they just texted. Mental how quickly it's done. I'm alright just a bit sad we can't do anything for my birthday but never mind! We'll do stuff in 2 weeks
