Blue Light Card- online, when does the discount get applied?

Sorry, possibly dumb question.

Just got a blue light card. I'm looking at some clothing online, I've requested and received a discount code; but I'm onto Paypal payment/delivery address, and the amount is still showing as the full amount, not the discount amount. Is there a final step when the discount gets applied?

Nervous about hitting 'continue' and all the hassle if I then have to cancel, query etc.

There should have been a discount code box before you got to the payment stage, it's not blue light specific but normally when you are in your 'bag/cart' there's a box to put in your discount code before proceeding to delivery etc
