Vitamins and supplements; what helps?

GabrielleChanel · 13/07/2020 10:55

I am 2 stone overweight
With mild heading towards less mild psoriasis
Recent migraines

I am dealing with low/high level stress (ongoing because husband out of work)

I want to try and properly feed my body and make it better
I have effervescent vitamin c that I take often at 4pm when I hit an energy slump which I find helps

But am reading about quercetjne as being helpful for reducing inflammation

Or is just money down the loo literally?

Vitamin D and a decent multivit

Vitamins are mostly a waste of time unless you've had a blood test to determine what you are low in. You shouldn't need a multivitamin if you eat a good, varied balanced diet. You need to make sure you are drinking plenty of water and not eating too much food that is high in carbohydrates/sugars.

In the UK, you will probably benefit from taking a vitamin D supplement due to lack of exposure to the sun for long enough periods of time.
Women quite often require folic acid and calcium supplements.
Zinc is also meant to help the immune system.

The alive once daily women's vits have really helped with my energy levels - there's lots of vitamins and minerals in them so can't pin point whats done the trick. An improvement in energy has helped me be much more active in general. I believe zinc is supposed to be good for skin conditions, my eczema has improved since taking them.
