Microsoft Teams Video call. Can anyone answer a question please?

Does it work exactly the same as Zoom Video calls?
I have a medical appointment tomorrow and have never used Microsoft teams before. I was asked to set up a separate email address which I’ve done and I got a message on it today telling me to click on Join A Meeting.

When I do that will it be the same as Zoom where you just click on microphone and video activation, the other person is there and you start the video call? Or is there anything different that needs to be done? I haven’t been able to do a dummy run as everything I do is via Zoom and no one I know uses this Teams thing. So any advice or tips are very welcome. It’s an important appointment and already a bit stressful so I’d like it to go as smoothly as possible. TIA

it's very easy to use.
at first when you click the link you should be muted. there is a camera symbol and a microphone symbol for you to start your video and microphone.

Once you clik on the link it will load up the meeting, your audio is typically already on but you will need to turn the camera on and click on 'Join'. You can always just click join and turn on the camera afterwards

I have it downloaded as I use it a lot but I do t think you have to

Teams is very much like Skype, so you should be fine.

Thanks again. I’ve got the Microsoft teams app Downloaded onto my iPad but will hopefully just click Join A Meeting as instructed in the email and hope for the best .

Teams is really straightforward I found it better than zoom
