BAME Clarification

The new thing from my work is that folks that are BAME should be having a risk assessment as they are more likely to be at risk from Covid 19 - all sounds sensible enough.
Now the bit I'm curious about is how BAME so to speak you should be. For example there is a bloke at my work who appears to be from a completely white european background however after doing his family tree he now knows his 4 x Great Grandfather was in fact Black and born in Jamaica.
So how BAME should you be to identify as BAME in the workplace and for health care reasons?

That's what, six or seven generations ago? Based on that I might as well claim to have Viking heritage as my ancestors were Norwegian and icelandic.

Lol not quite...but who knows what's lingering in the genes that could be pertinent? Would you even say anything to anyone?
