Really good stick blender for houmous

I got a stick blender with a mini chopper and loved it for humous and chopping nuts. Used it every day.
But I managed to fuck it up in the dishwasher within 3 months.

Can anyone recommend a really good one, or something else that’s perfect for houmous?

I’ve got a big magimix food processor, and it does have a little bowl inside, but uses the same lid as the big one so is a pain to dishwash.

I’ll add - the chopper/bowl was meant to be dishwasher proof.
Bonus points if what you recommend is dishwasher friendly. I’m too lazy to handwash Grin

Missing the point of the thread, but do people put stick blenders in the dishwasher? I always just wash mine under the tap Confused

I do tend to rinse the stick bit (the bit you’d blend soup with).
But the little bowl with a blade and lid goes in the dishwasher.
Maybe this was where I went wrong...

I poured boiling water into mine and it cracked. Really recommend a kitchen ninja

I just use my Magimix. It works far better than a stick blender for hummus.

I have a Braun 300 watt stick blender (no other attachments though.) It's been going strong for a good 15 years, makes great houmous and goes happily through the dishwasher.

Not a stick blender but I use one of these for hummus, Thai red/green curry pastes etc Cuisinart Mini Processor. All the bits go in the dishwasher.

I rate our Dualit hand-blender. It’s v robust.

I just bought a mini kitchen aid chopper & love it. Use it for houmous & it's fab.

Any old cheap stick blender should do ok though,.

Is your houmous recipe the one where you boil the tin of chickpeas with baking soda? That's what I've used & first time it's made lovely houmous!

Oh boiling with baking soda? Never tried that.
I cook dried chickpeas in instant pot and make from there.
Have ordered a cusinart after watching too many YouTube comparisons. Thank you @bloodywhitecat for the suggestion Brew
