What's everyone doing today and tomorrow?

OP posts:

We are camping. It's pissing it down, hopefully we'll leave today and go home. If not, we'll stay, get wet then leave tomorrow.

vinoandbrie · 11/07/2020 16:51

Trying to find something that is open that will amuse the children and is not already booked out. Easier said than done sadly.

wiltingflower · 11/07/2020 16:52

I'll be going out for a run in the morning hopefully but not sure. Also hoping to get around to doing some reading and cleaning my car.

TimeForLunch · 11/07/2020 16:57

Arrived in Portugal yesterday and currently enjoying a relaxing day with the family round the pool followed by barbecue this evening. Tomorrow we will venture out to one of the water parks, play some paddle tennis if we have any energy left and then go out for dinner in the evening.
What are your plans?

Frownette · 11/07/2020 16:58

Just trying to get ready to move Monday

BakewellGin1 · 11/07/2020 17:00

Today we have had a lazy morning, followed by an afternoon feeding ducks and playing in the park. Tonight we have football and takeaway once smallest DS is in bed.
Tomorrow we are going to our local Children's Animal Farm...

I will strip the beds in it and give everything a wipe down etc food shopping needs done aswell. Ds will help dh for a while and then he is going out with his grandparents for a few hours in the afternoon

happypotamus · 11/07/2020 17:09

Today we hung around the house all morning while someone fixed the car, this afternoon we took DC to ride bikes in the park. Tomorrow I am going to work.

dementedma · 11/07/2020 17:11

Another day of lockdown doldrums really. Looked after elderly mum, got some shopping, did the ironing, washed bed linen, cleaned bathroom, made coleslaw. Same old same old

BettyBoozle · 11/07/2020 17:14

Pretty lazy weekend. Lie in this morning, big breakfast then a morning of cleaning and decluttering dc bedrooms which was a mission in itself.

Popped to a few shops with dc this afternoon, dog walk and a takeaway tonight. More of the same tomorrow. We still aren't venturing too far.

Frownette · 11/07/2020 17:14

I think it's slowly coming to life. It's a bit frustrating not being able to do things as normal though. I avoid the news nowadays.
Bargainhuntbore · 11/07/2020 17:16

5 hour walk done this morning at 6am with friends . Covered 3 mountains.

Food shopping done

Off for a walk after tea with another friend.

Tomorrow morning a 5 mile run, then a roast lunch. Probably another walk around tea time.

Hairyfairy01 · 11/07/2020 17:20

Today working with COVID patients. Tomorrow the same. Sorry to rain on your parade but I just want to read these posts and weep.

TheDuchessofDukeStreet · 11/07/2020 17:25

Chores this morning. National Trust visit this afternoon, lovely walk with flasks of tea and chocolate biscuits. Just about to reload dishwasher, start dinner and meal plan while it is cooking. Some sewing to do tonight, will find something nice to watch while doing it.

Tomorow, cleaning and tidying in the morning. Another NT place in the afternoon, taking flasks and scones. Make a shepherds pie and apple crumble for dinner. Probably ironing and getting ready for the week afterwards.

Oh no Sad

I think this has been a highly perplexing time for many people but it's different if you're in the fireline and witness things first hand. Had a couple of people die from it but that was more remote, if that makes sense. I hope you are taking care of yourself.

Albern · 11/07/2020 17:27

This morning worked a 7 - 2 shift, this afternoon continued to clear a patch of ground currently covered in bind weed and crap from building work as we are putting our pool there, tomorrow will involve many trips to the dump and then work in afternoon evening .

TheDuchessofDukeStreet · 11/07/2020 17:29

@Hairyfairy01 I’m sorry, my post must have come across as very insensitive straight after yours. Can you take some time to do something for yourself at all?

crosser62 · 11/07/2020 17:30

Visited friend today. ‘‘Twas absolutely gorgeous to see them, it’s been months and months.

Tomorrow...12 hour shift at work. Not looking forward to that.

FrugiFan · 11/07/2020 17:32

@Hairyfairy01 you're doing a great job. What region are you in? In my local trust they have zero covid patients in hospital at the moment.

My husband is playing cricket today and the children and I are staying in. Tomorrow we are planning to go to the beach so DD can trial her new kite.

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 11/07/2020 18:04

Been cycling in the north york moors today. Tomorrow I'm working.

MinnieMountain · 11/07/2020 19:05

We're in Hunstanton for the weekend.
I've swum in the sea; DS has been to the fair and explored the beach; DH has had fresh crab.
More of the same tomorrow.

isseywith4vampirecats · 11/07/2020 20:00

boring weekend housework today and work tomorrow

MaryRaddy · 11/07/2020 20:49

I feel amazed at people flying off places and going out, @Hairyfairy01 feeling for you.
We live rurally, my DP is taking my eldest out on bicycles, first time he'll have been outside our home and field since lockdown (it's a big field).

H1978 · 11/07/2020 21:16

Day of doing bed sheets today and general cleaning, vacuuming and ironing.

Walked into town to get some picnic bits for day out tomorrow, hoping the weather stays nice.

starrynight19 · 11/07/2020 21:20

We went out for our first meal this evening at a local restaurant where ds works.
It was lovely and felt like such a treat , felt really safe. All staff wearing masks and lots of hand sanitiser stations. Good distancing between tables.
Tomorrow I am going to watch ds play cricket and maybe have a coupe of drinks on the terrace.
It feels like a little bit of normal and has been lovely.
